Sioux Falls Bike Trail Updates

From the City of Sioux Falls:

The bicycle trail between 41st and 49th Street will be open this weekend. The flood control levy project is complete.

The trail between 12th Street and Russell Street will be closed from September 8th to September 29th to complete a repaving project. For updates and for alternate route information, go to http://www.siouxfallsparks.org/Bike/trail/view_map.aspx. The alternate route may be changed slightly if the fairgrounds allows route to go through there instead.

Thank you

Look Keo Pedal Recall

On Tuesday, August 5th, LOOK issued a recall announcement for all LOOK KEO chromoly axle models manufactured prior to January 2006. The axle could potentially crack and break, posing a fall hazard. NOTE: The recall does not include Carbon Ti, HM Ti or other LOOK pedals.

Spoke-N-Sport has not stocked the Keo pedal until the 2008 season. If you are using Look Keo pedals from that time frame please click here or bring the pedals into Spoke-N-Sport and we can help you check them out.

Giant Yukon FX

Check out the July 2008 issue of Mountain Bike Action. The editors tested 5 mountain bikes under $900: the Giant Yukon FX, GT Peace 9R Multi, Marin Alpine Trail 3X, Norco Rival, and the Trek 6000. The verdict: "The Giant is by far the most versatile of the bunch. It provides a fantastic trail riding experience by doing everything in an accomplished manner. Climbing, cornering, descending and just riding along, the Yukon delivers. If you only want one bike in the garage, it should be the Yukon."
