In 1909, the owner of the Italian newspaper La Gazetta dello Sport took inspiration from the Tour de France (then only 6 years old) and created his own national stage race, the Giro d’Italia. Won by such cycling greats as Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, and Marco Pantani, the maglia rosa of the Giro d’Italia has become one of cycling’s most coveted achievements. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Giro d’Italia, and the members of Cervélo TestTeam will be commemorating this landmark race by riding custom-painted Giro d’Italia Cervélo bikes. This unique, commemorative paint scheme will also be available to customers on a very
limited edition RS frameset.
